About Muskaan

Born in Kuwait, raised in Pakistan and educated in the US, Muskaan is a multi-cultured, cosmopolitan creative. From the age of 13, she has been deeply involved in the arts, theatre production and visual storytelling. Having studied filmmaking at Emerson College, she has produced and directed a diverse range of videos, short films, podcasts and celebrity content. Her work hinges on nuances of the female experience, the intricate relationships between people and the ways in which we choose to navigate our material worlds & spaces. Her work looms large, then zooms into the detailed and intricate; it interrogates our larger social universes while retaining fascination with the more private, human moments found in abundance all around us. She is currently working on her next film about a couple in Karachi grappling with an intense setback.
